WC3 Heart of Darkness full screen without the black borders

I looked throough the threads but didn;t notice if there is a way to play WC3 full screen without it being centered in the middle with that windowed effect all that black bordering around. Right now, my regular screen resolution is 1400 x 1050 and no matter what i do i can;t get the game to play full screen.

i've gone into propeties and everything to change it to full screen but it just won;t go. Am i missing something?

Are you talking about Kilrathi Saga or the dos version? If you are playing in dosbox you will need to edit dosbox.conf to turn on scaling or the aspect function.

I assume you are using an LCD though so it's possible that the kilrathi saga just wont expand fully because of your monitor's native resolution. It's basically hard coded to 640x480. There may be a function on the monitor itself for displaying low res programs though.

Also the games are set to a 4:3 ratio. the movies are widesceen sort of in that on a 4:3 screen the game adds black bars on the top and bottom. The result of expanding a 4:3 image while keeping the aspect will be black all around on a widescreen monitor.
