Hey all!
I've had WC3 since it first came out however many years ago when I was 10 and I think it's one of the best WCs. But recently trying to play it on my computer it wont run properly. I have Windows XP and a fairly new graphics and sound card. The videos work fine, sticking here and there. But when I go to fly the sound is really distorted and the gameplay very stuttery. I know some people have had problems with WC3 on here already, so if anyone has a solution that'd be great :)

SO is this the dos version or Kilrathi saga version? If you have the Kilrathi saga version check your soundcard hardware acceleration settings. If its off, try turning it on. Also make sure the compatability settings for the WC3 executable is set to win95/98.

If its the Dos version, we need to know more about your system specs. Are you trying to run it in dosbox?

Thanks for the reply.
No it's not the Saga WC3, it's the original one that you could buy on its own. I'm not using Dosbox to run it, I just go into Windows XP and use the 'Run' button in the Start menu.
I have a Soundblaster sound card and the most recent NVidia graphics card.
Thanks again!

So what are your system specs (processor, ram etc)? does fidling with hardware sound acceleration settings help at all? THe best solution might actually be dosbox if your system can handle it.
