I keep comming back here for help, and I noticed that when you figure out something it is always nice when you post how you did it.

Recently I installed WC3 follwing the link from How to Run Old games on the main news site. I followed all the information, and downloaded the newest version of dosbox. After I was all done, I changed my cycles as reccomended. I found out that the Game actually run better if I left it on auto, and also I left my core=normal. This may not be the same for everyone, but I hope it helps someone in the future. The thing I am curious about, did this happen for me because the speed of my machine, or because I downloaded the newest version of Dosbox and patch, and some bugs were fixed.

I think the latter one you said did the trick, but wait for what the mods have to say...

Auto is something we haven't tested very much, and I'm not sure if it was in 0.63. The DOSBox.conf refers to it as experimental. It's definitely an alternative to dynamic core, and should be fine if your computer is fast enough. We'd need to know more about your processor to make a determination on that.

Normally, your processing power would need to be at least 3.0GHz for WC3 to run perfectly.
