WC2 with Win98

I got a copy of WC2 and I am having problems getting it to run smoothly under Win98. WC3, WC4, and Prophecy all work on my computer. the problem is that the video (well cartoon) runs really fast and when i got to run it through windows i get this message that it was have to shut down everything and run it though dos that way. is there anyway to fix this or am I stuck?
 
Run it in DOS. That´ll make things easier.

It would be better if you tell me which computer do you have. Anyway, to slow down the game, try downloading the software "Moslo" from the CIC Files Section and use it in DOS to slow down your computer.

Turning your cache memory off in your BIOS also help.
 
i have a dell P3 - 450, 128 RAM, Turtle Beach Montego 2 sound card, Voodoo3 video card... it won't let me play the speech files cause it says i have not EMS

Of course it won´t, you are playing it in Windows. Try my suggestion: run the game in DOS and use those slowing-down tips.

You can still have EMS in Windows, but playing it in DOS will make things simpler.

Having the cutscenes play fast (whether in Windows or DOS) is normal [on modern PCs, anyway], the inflight part should play at normal speed.

BTW, the Turtle Beach isn't that new, AFAIK. And I'm pretty sure it's SB compatible.
 
it works with SB... also is there anywhere to get the controls for the game... cause i don't have a manual
