Hey guys,
today im kinda looking for some advice from those with far more skills in technique-issues -_-

Well, here's the situation:
I tried to play WC2 ( SAGA-Bundle ) and the game works so far, well could be better but at least it works at all ;) unfortunatly "works" doesnt mean its playable.
Im not using a joystick and i also don't intend to do so ( i prefer keyboard in all cases ). the game only allows 1 Keystroke at a time...now guess what, flying is no fun that way, yet impossible ;)
WC1 works just fine with keyboard only...any1 got an idea how to convince WC2 that keyboard only is a good idea?

Im using XP

thx-4-helping :)

I tried WC2 Saga with the keyboard for an unbearable length of time. I used to also prefer keyboard flight (beat Starlancer my first few playthroughs that way), but you won't be able to beat WC2 or even get halfway through on the keyboard controls. Your best bet if you don't want to play with the keyboard is mouse control- your game on all the WC titles will be vastly improved over your keyboard performance once you get used to it, although joystick is best (I was skeptical on this until I hooked it up to Prophecy and Standoff and really started to pick up).

The Kilrathi Saga version of WC2 can be finicky. Personally I would get a copy of WC2 DOS version from eBay or something, and use DOSBox to run it.

Playing with a joystick "Feels" a lot better in my opinion.

Playing with a mouse does not feel natural, although it is far more accurate.

hm...too bad if there is no way of keyboard-enhancement :(
i'll try it with mouse...should be still used to it cause playing Xcom : Intercepter ^^

but since u mentioned the DOS version of WC2 + DosBox, will keyboard-only work fine that way?

uhm...yeah i now tried it with mouse...

"more accurate" yes, maybe, but only if i find a way to reduce the sensivity by at least 50%, and far more important : invert the damn Y-axsis....
any1 knows about?

Decreasing sensitivity might be fixable from windows. As for inverting the axis, there are a number of "joke" or "prank" programs on the net that routinely mess with settings like that- maybe you can find one and use it on yourself while playing?
