WC2 KS Windows ME installation

I have tried installing WC2 KS on my Windows ME computer, but I keep getting stuck at the point in the installation where it says: "Copy from which drive [A B C]? [At the bottom it says "Copying files. Please wait"]." But it doesn't do anything after that. It stops. It does the same thing when I use DOSBox.
 
Kilrathi Saga is the Windows version of WC1-3. It has nothing to do with DOSBox or the command prompt. You shouldn't be typing anything in or installing from A, B or C. Run the installer program in Windows from your CD.

That reminds be a lot of how it installs from the regular Dos version deluxe edition CD. If i'm right, dont install that way at all. Copy the Wing2, and only the Wing2 folder from the CD onto your hardrive somewhere. Then *DO NOT* run the install file but rather run "WINSTALL" from the wing2 folder on your harddrive to set up sound. YOu should use dosbox I suppose so don't forget that dosbox defaults to IRQ7.

Of course if this *is* the windows version (kilrathi saga) then it's an entirely different problem.
 
There are different versions of that. What happens when you try to do what AD suggested? WindowsMe is going to be a somewhat nasty environment to install it directly, so you'll probably be better off with DOSBox. With DOSBox, you'd mostly follow AD's instructions, except mount the directory you copied the game files to and use the game's regular installer.
