WC2 KS audio problem

hello, I have audio problems with WC2 kilrathi saga, when I start playing a mission the audio sounds choppy... when I enter the game it's all fine but the moment I start a mission the audio gets choppy, any suggestions please? :S

btw i have XP SP2 and WC1 goes fine, only WC2 gives me that audio problem :S

Have you tried adjusting your sound hardware acceleration levels in XP? Try lowering it or raising it and see whether that helps or not.

I tried lowering it but it goes worse (it's choppy all the time not just when i start a mission) normally I have it at max, anyway I tried setting it at medium but doesn't work.
Help please :S

There are other options as well. Adjust any duplex and quality settings as well. I'd also recommend disabling directx video options that may also be causing interference. Are you running in Windows 95 compatibility mode?

yes i'm running it with w95 compatibility (otherwise the game crashes when i open it)
I disabled the directx video options as you sayed and now the sound goes fine, thanks you =D

Glad to hear you got it working.. and also nice to get some positive confirmation that the newer directx video issues seem to be affecting sound independent of directx audio settings.
