WC: KS - WC3 lockups

I'm trying to play the WC3 portion of The Kilrathi Saga. WC 1 + 2 were fine. However, when I try to run a mission (or trainsim) the 'puter locks up at "Downloading Navigation info...". A hard reboot is sometimes needed to restart my system. The funny thing, though is that sometimes it lets my play. I got as far as the Skiper missile once, then it crapped out.

Any help would be appreciated.

I found the problem. For future referrence, it was that I had too much computer for the game. I disabled some of the hardware acceleration in the sound driver and increased the sample rate in the control panel, and that solved the problem. I can now fly with adequate sound.
