A few days ago, I caught one of the students of the lab' were I work downloading lots of data that didn't seem to have anything to do with genetics or anything he should have been doing : it was games, games and games, all of them installed on a computer dedicated to the advancement of human knowledge and the beauty of science.
But hell, that's how young guys are after all... and, anyway that's how I discovered the "abandonware" sites. God bless that lazzy student ! Now I could find and play all those great games from my younger days...
I still had an old P133 somewhere in the basement and... I checked that it still worked : it did (I must have a lucky star looking after me somewhere up there).
And then I've done it : I got WC KS and WC academy from the web. And the add-ons. And bought a joystick.
I was really looking forward to get back in touch with my long lost furry friends... but, that's when back karma struck...
Damn...
Academy works fine (maybe a bit fast, but it's OK) and it's great but there is no story at all in it. Well, it(' nice but it is not the same thing at all. No cinematics. Argh.
And of course I just can't even install WC KS... I don't get it. I've got this huge zip file, with lots of floppy disk-sized arj files in it. I can't find the way to unpack that thing.
Frustration is growing. Let's hope I can handle it.
