WC: KS Help

Hi, I'm running WC Kilrathi Saga, WC 3 works all right, but when I try to play WC 1 and 2 my monitor wont' run it says it doesn't have the correct frequency. The game runs but my monitor doesn't. I have a 17 inch Flat screen monitor made by MegaVision if anyone can help please drop me a line hehe. I want to play WC1 and 2!
 
Thats why you demand to test WC1 on the LCD you are about to buy before buing ;-) (Yep, I really did that!)

There is probably not much you can do besides getting a new monitor. What version of Windows do you have? If possiple (not possible in XP IIRC) try to set the resolution of Windows itself to 640x480 at 60 Hz. If you graphic card supports it (Nvidias should) try to set the refresh rates of ALL resolutions to 60Hz. Finally you migth want to try to play WC1 and WC2 in non fullscreen mode (IIRC that was possible).
 
THe problem is that it worked before on the LCD monitor. And it's not working now so I'm not sure whats going on.
 
Right click on the desktop and drop down to properties, go into the advanced options for the monitor.
 
Do I go under adaptors or monitor to lower the refresh rate? And how low should It go?
 
The lowest value possible, usually 60 Hz. It doesn't matter as a LCD cannot flicker, no matter how low the ratio.
 
I set the Adaptor to 60hz but that doesn't seem to work. I can play WCIII with out a problem but KS 1 and 2 the monitor says it's out of frequency and still set at 75hz, any suggstions how to get it to down to 60 and run?
 
I think Wing Commander runs in the lower 320*240 type resolutions but I'm not sure

I tried to use Frequency lock but it's not working though I might not be using it properly. I CAN play both Privateer and Armada on the computer using the my jemm file. So I'm not sure exactly whats going on
