WC III for XP Install

I just bought the WC III (heart of the tiger) game for pc. I have a celeron chip with 1.3 gigs. My memory is 112 ram and I also have a 64 mg video adapter. Also a soundbaster. All running on Windows XP.

I understand that it was made for Windows 95.

What do I have to do to install it correctly. After my attempts it won't boot up. All I see is a little white box on the upper right hand corner of the monitor blinking on a dark screen.

Help me please!!!

Original WCIII was made for DOS. Big UH OH for XP users. I can get it to work with XP but without sound and joystick support.
 
Copy everything from the cds on to your computer, make sure its in the folder WC3. Don't worry when it asks you about over-writing, the files it wants to over-write contain the exact same information. Once you've copied it to your computer, run it with VDMS, this will enable sound, however I have yet to get my joystick to work (WC3 always was better with the joystick as well :( ).
This also eliminates the annoying CD swapping, though if it does ask you to insert a CD, just press enter and it'll continue.

Right, off to see if I can get Crusader No Remorse/Regret running.
