WC III and IV

Hi...I've tried your suggestions and downloaded the patches for these games, and while the games run, my mouse works, and the audio and video is perfect, the FLYING has problems: specifically, the flight combat is jerky and occasionally the controls lock up while the rest of the ships continue flying and shooting my butt off, only to then unlock,and of course, relock later. Any ideas? This problem happens in both WC III and IV. I am running Win XP. Thanks!
 
vdmsound worked pretty beautifully for me. http://ntvdm.cjb.net/
i did not find it too hard to setup either, most of the defaults are
ok. i just needed a minute to figure out that i have to enable msdex
support for it to read the cdrom.
but heck a bit more docs on vdmsound would be great if they would exist...
i got the old dos version of wc3.
dosbox slowed me down too much and the sound was crappy... (AMD+1700 Athlon)
