I just realized that those Vampires look like escorts for some of the Kilrathi fighters.....It's possible :) ....Also if you noticed...the Cockpit is transparent in the Strakha...could be an oops or could be a maybe we'll leave it type deal

Oh yea I forgot the Rapier Blade as well, keep in mind all of these shots are taken in vision engine, in game

the Standoff team had figured out something to allow cloaking fighters in the Vision engine. Will you do something similar for the Strakha?

I have yet to contact Eder about cloaking within the vision engine...But...If it can be done, I'll work to make it happen, That's all I can say at this moment about it, until I can get enough information as to what it involves, what needs to be done to make it work, and even If I could get it to work will it be something that people would be happy with. :)

I think it would be a great idea because it Confed masters this technology to have it produced at some point and benefit from it, I wonder if it's possible within vision engine for wingmen to cloak also and not just the player, In fact for the player to cloak it's kind of a litttle overkill....it doesn't add any level of difficulty if only the player can cloak, which wouldn't be much fun,..unless it's something special like a one time use, which it really is within the WC games as a specialty (Think of WC3, and WC4)....if that makes sense...I'm not sure but I'll check into it with Eder. Like if anything were to cloak it would just be the Strakha and nothing else....

My next real daunting task is actually getting the Artemis Class into the Vision engine....So that will be consuming my time for the most part for a little while....It's much harder to get Capships in the Vision engine if there's many components to it....turrets,engines,etc....granted some things I'm using are already in the vision engine but still have todo destroyed textures...seperate the models and impliment each and every component into the vision engine. Might definately need help with that....

The cloaking in Standoff is mostly my work, better ask me.

The tricks and evil scripting has it's limits, though, as it won't work with wingmen nor the player.

That's awesome...I can't find any shots in the forums...What does it look like? But will it work with... any enemy fighters? or is it specific? Is it a "On"/"Off" type code when something is clicked and it turns the textures gradually totally black so that it's invisible in the Pallate? I'm very interested in how it actually works

Sorry, my grammer was pretty bad on this one :)

Looking at the fighters now, again....

I believe every cockpit is recreated to small on the confed fighters... this is a design choice ofcourse. as far as i recall the cockpit on the rapier and arrow were a lot bigger.

Great job though, again.

O btw That's the Rapier Blade, I know I might have called it the Vanguard at one point but I was mistaken :) But everyone keeps calling it the Vanguard, It still needs a little work on the textures still but it'll get there at some point :)

I actually thought the same thing too but it seems that on the Arena Models there's no way to actually look behind you on both of the models, on left right & forward like the read of the fockpit is covered, I'm trying to think of a real life example but I'm only able to think of a few aircraft and of coarse previous designs of the WC fighters show other otherwise (Bubble type Canopy) Here's a real life fighter that I guess is similar... Just meaning that part of the fuselage is part of the rear of the cockpit almost similar to a helicopter or something where there is no rear visibility. Anyways here's a shot of a F-8 Crusader http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:F-8_Crusader_on_Hornet_2.jpg They don't have much of a rear for the cockpit either.... I mean I can change it that's not really a problem so that it seems larger...I'll just change the texture I don't really have to mess with the Model. Here's some shots of the Arena Arrow and Arena Blade. Straight from the S*S manual.
