I have installed my old Soundblaster and tested one Joystick and one Gamepad with the Soundblaster Gameport. It´s the same Result, the Calibration is verry bad.
I have no Chance to play WCA without a working Joystick.

There is currently no Joystick out there that works with Armada via Dosbox properly, sorry :(
This has been asked several times already in this forum and in the Dosbox-forum, with always the same results: No fix available. And it seems it'll take a quite long time till it will finally work properly :( - Waiting for a fix for this prob myself, btw :\

Easiest solution: Invest ~30€ for an old Pentium 100 with all the trimmings on ebay, install DOS, and have all the fun in the world...

USB joysticks will work in other WC games under dosbox, but yeah, Armada doesn't handle them right. The benefits of getting a real DOS computer for Armada also include being able to play multiplayer via modem or serial. I'm quite looking forward to the point when these two issues get resolved for Armada players in dosbox.

Gravis eliminator game card

I know in that time, there was a card with a volume that can change the informations transmit to comtuter to calibrate the joystick to informations false to make program work even if the joystick was already calibrate good.

Unfortunately it seem that this joystick port controler does not exist anymore and the technology is to old 8 bits card to add into computer if found!

I use a thrustmaster top gun joystick and Wing commander armada AJ found it but the cursor for calibration is stick on right down corner and still running around in tha area.

I just hope that somebody will be able to find a kind of program that will be able to correct the x and y axes to make it right!

Good luck starfighters!

HCl fixed this joystick problem in Armada a few months ago. https://www.wcnews.com/news/update/6735 It's integrated into his patch that allows you to play Armada online. Download the new executable and begin the game with that file and you can configure USB joysticks in Armada without a problem.
