WC 4 and the mouse....

this is a weird little problem, maybe its just me. if it is then say so.

using WC4 in win98 and not a single hitch...except that the mouse only works when not in flight. i set mouse in the setup program and no luck. i cannot control the ship with the mouse in flight. any ideas? is it possible to do that anyway?? privateer 2 fan here so i was hoping so....also remember other WC games being able to use mouse...

i have a logitech optical mouse currently on the USB port. i did switch it to PS2 with no success. the funny thing is that in DOS the mouse works fine on the PS2 port with the standard MS drivers.

any ideas guys?

If you can get the mouse working in DOS, just play it in DOS. I don't think WC4 will accept USB input, it being originally a DOS game.

If it's simply a matter of changing flight control, have you tried using Alt-O ('oh' not 'zero') in mid-flight? That brings up options, IIRC, you should be able to switch controls there.
