Is there a way to slow down the speed of the game and get sound for the Original Wing Commander PC Game on a PIII 800 WinME machine?

800Mhz and Moslo? Not very likely. Turbo might work if WC1 is played in Windwows.

Besides that I can only recomment to turn off the internal and external cache of your PC. Only then if it is still too fast try moslo with 5-10% slowdown.

Hey, I don't have any experience on slowing computers down since my computers are already slow enough. :/

Well, the whole problem with running it in ME is virtual DOS. It...well, sucks. The only way you can get real dos, is to use a Win98 boot disk. Then you can use Mo'Slo to slow it down to a decent speed.

Does Moslo work with, say, Windows 2000 Professional? I've tried it a few different ways in the command prompt but no luck yet. Has anyone been successful, or know what I've been doing wrong?

(Trying to run WC1, by the way)

Alternately, how does one turn of the caches, as you recommended? Or to build a Win98 boot disk, as another of you recommended?

You must enter in your BIOS setup (press DEL when your machine is booting) and disable the internal and external cache.

Hmmmm.... I don't see an option for that when I get into setup by hitting F8.
