Video Skipping in WCP

Any ideas as to why Sound Blaster Live (in general) aren't compatible?

I believe it's LW3. It's has compartiblity issues with DirectX 8.0.

Try dowloading the latest SB drivers from www.creative.com and the latest DirectX version from www.windowsupdate.com. They might have solved the problem. Maybe sending a message to Creative Labs will help also.

Creative Responded to my question regarding the SBLive! Direct X problem. I haven't tried this yet, any comments.

Make sure that you have the latest drivers for the sound card as well as Microsoft's Windows XP updates. If you have ACPI support enabled, disable it through the BIOS and reinstall the operating system over itself. You should then move the sound card to another PCI slot. Let us know if you have any questions.

Turning down the harware sound acceleration level a notch usually takes care of the skipping for me
