VDMSOUND with joystick

I am using VDMSound to play WC3 and I have been able to use it with WC2, DOS TIE Fighter, etc. However, in WC3 it works fine EXCEPT the joystick jumps around and is unusuable. I have XP and an analog joystick. Any suggestions? The joystick works fine in other programs like WC2!
 
In the files section on wcnews.com you'll find an alternate joystick routine under the WC3 header. Try that.
