Vampire Movies...

Well, I just watched "Fright Night" again last night, so I'm in the mood for some cool Vampire Movies... Anybody have any favorites from over the years? Or any they REALLY disliked? ;)

Fright Night is a pretty good movie. Both versions of "Nosferatu", the original or the remake by Werner Herzog, are fantastic in their own seperate rights.

Near Dark also has to be seen. Probably the most underrated 80s horror flick. Lance Henriksen took a 2 week road trip by himself to get into his role as a drifter vampire. He got pulled over for speeding and was so into his character, the cop that stopped him took out his gun and leveled it at him he was so intimidated.

I like the bizarre movie: The Vampire Women, she don´t bites necks and drinks blood...she bites penises (isn´t a joke and isn´t a porn movie) :(

I definitely agree there.

Yes, another of the better ones I've seen.

And we must not forget the Lost Boys.... it's all about the Lost Boys....

Wow, how'd I miss "Lost Boys"? I mean, it's not spectacular but its fun as heck.

You also might like the humorous vampire movies like "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" or "Monster Squad".

Why isn't this thread about vertical thrust vectoring and whether or not Vampires would be found on heavy carriers?

You should see this german movie about killer condoms. And Buffy and Angel are good with a beer or two. There was also this british series called Ultra Violet.

Yeah, I thought Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a good fun movie. I don't think I've seen monster squad, I'll have to look for it!

Monster Squad is a kids movie, very b-movie and you have to be prepared for a lot of "tounge-in-cheek" humor. The little nuances are what make it great though.

I have no problem with that, I enjoy those types of movies. Come to think of it, there hasn't been a campy vampire movie made in a long time... it's been mostly films that take themselves really seriously that have been released... oh well.

Ultra Violet was Great, it's a shame that it didn't last long. Lost Boys is also great, I think that that was the first Vampire Movie to use the Bumpie Make-Up.

Buffy Funny is funny to watching, since it's so camp. The series was a great improvement.
