Seventh Part of the Seal
I don't know how many die hard transformer fans we have here, but I'm certainly one. I grew up on the first series, I cheered on the Mighty Autobots, I cried when Optimus Prime died, got mad when Megatron was resurested (Seriously GALVATRON!? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot The original could have kicked his ass), cheered when they killed Unicron, and pretty much stopped watching after that, because without any semblance of the original cast, the show lost its appeal.
But I watched every incarnation after that as well. I loved Beast Wars especially towards the latter two seasons. So with all that in mind, Before heading in to work, I manage to catch a glimpse of the latest incarnation, the Animated Series. Much to my surprise it was very well done. The characters at least in some way resemble the originals, as do their personalities (So bravo there). There was one thing I noticed though that was somewhat strange... what is Black Arachnia (resembling her trans metal version) doing in this series!?
She was an awesome Maximal in Beast Wars, and my favorite transformer of all time (sorry Ironhide..
) But I didn't think that she was THAT popular to give her a reoccurring role on what is supposed to be an incarnation of the original war that took place millions of year before (after?? ...quantum mechanics man...) the Beast Wars.
Perhaps it would have made more sense to bring her in as a time traveler or something?
