The digtal FX Card should say

"You gotta love that boys spunk" or something along thoes lines my mind cant think back 4 years!

But it says

"You gotta love th" then it cuts out.

Thats the farest i've been on SOundblaster/Compatible or something the top one. all the rest either dont work or go less like "You go"

Thats useing the emmulator normally nothing would work no sound test nothing nada.

any suggestions?
 
Finally found out the rest of the problem, it's all about BIOS settings.

1) The "emulated" IRQ of the sound card must not be reserved
2) the "Plug & Play O/S" setting has to be disabled (not sure if it's really necessary, but as long as it works, I won't test it).
3) perform a PnP "configuration data reset"

You have to access your BIOS settings at PC startup and make sure that the IRQ your SB emulation's IRQ is not reserved. Then set "configuration data reset" to yes. If it doesn't work, try setting "Plug and Play O/S" to "no" and try again.

This helped me.
