Tech Help needed for Wing Commander Prophecy...

After a long bit of saving, I finally got a system good enough to play Wing Commander Prophecy on... However, I'm running Windows XP on it.

Yep, I got the "Skipping Movie" problem. Apparently, you folks know how to fix this... If you can pass on the secret, I'll be ever so greatful!

Run DXDiag, reduce/disable sound acceleration. I think that's it.

It worked ? It plays the movies normally but sometimes it skips ..

"No acceleration" doesnt work for me

Disabling sound acceleration will fix the skipping in almost all cases.

Try finding a old cd player anything faster than 32x is unsupported in old games
