TCS Cerberus= TCS Mercury?

I was going through TRE files when I found a mercury.iff in the ships folder. Thinking it was a new capship (Mercury-class maybe...) I switched a Marlin with the Mercury.iff and played the game. One of my custom made missions featured a Hydra and several Remora escorts. The Hydra ended up to be a Hades-class! It didn't seem comeplete. One engine was missing, and I think the picture ID was wrong. Was this a beta Cerberus?

Oh and I never got close enough for combat. I used a camera to check it out.

How did you change them? via WCPedit or changing the file name from "yadayada" > "Dadadada"?

rename mercury.iff to be marlin.iff and play a mission with a Hydra in it. it should be a Mercury.
