SWC MAC on a iBook G4

Hello!

Some years ago I purchased SWC for the Macintosh. Since I don't own a MAC, I never tried it out. Now my girlfriend got an iBook G4 (Computermodel Powerbook 6,7 if that has any meaning to you) and I think it runs OS X.

Is it possible to run SWC on that system? Of course, I could just try it out but my SWC is at my parent's and I don't want to make ride if it's hopeless from the beginning.

Yes it is possible to run SWC on that machine. The only thing I would be worried about is the colors. SWC runs in 256 colors and in my experiments I often got messed up colors during spaceflight, but all the other in game scenes were fine.

All you have to do is fire up the Classic Environment, which should launch when you try to launch SWC and it should run fine. You may have better luck than me because this mac is ready to be put out of its misery.

Any other problems we can try to figure out.

Thanks, that's great news. I'll try it out as soon as I get to my parent's.
And I'll probably have other problems: seh got the MAC as a surprise present and we're still learning to use it.
