strange problem on WC3

I just bought a copy of WC3 and I am playing it in Windows 98. Everything works fine, except when I go into battle, the crosshairs do missle targeting and the missles automatically launch and don't stop until the hardpoint is empty. This occurs on both mouse and keyboard modes. It is quite frustrating and I was hoping someone might have an answer or at least a direction to go...

That's very strange. It sound like a joystick problem, but since you are not using one, it's hard to figure it out. Sticky buttons, perhaps?
