I don't know about the rest of you - but I'm suddenly interested in this game all over again!

The game has looked very good for a long time. Now they've got a major publisher backing this with full force, Mike Okuda doing the technical consulting, DC Fontana writing the script and all the captains voicing their characters. I don't see how they could go wrong.

Rockville, Maryland? That's where I work!

Really? I thought (from your proflie) that you lived in Texas.

If memory serves, Rockville is just around the corner from Bethesda, MD. My favorite restaraunt has a location in Bethesda. It's a place called Mongolian Barbeque.

Definately worth your time to check the place out, if you haven't already:

This looks really interesting, I don't really care much for Star Trek, although I used to watch TNG and Voyager ages ago... It would still be interesting to play a good space RTS.

Isn't this game suppose to feature a fleet verus fleet tatical based gameplay? Anyways i hope it ends up as a good game, if theirs been one injustice in this universe its the lack of quality star trk games!

Yeah, this isn't an RTS really. You start just controlling one ship. Through the course of the game you may be in situations where you control entire fleets, but it's more of a action adventure.

Okaay... I guess I kinda jumped into it. Sorry for that... Still sounds pretty interesting.

I'm from Maryland (I only work in outer space). I go to school in Austin, but I spent my summers in DC... which is a lot more pleasant than the other way around. I'm headed back to Austin after Dragon*Con.

I fondly remember ST:25th anniversary and Judgement Rites. I wish they made a modern version of those.

I used to play those games all the time, back in the day. I even have the "Limited CD-ROM Collectors edition" of Judgement Rites.

Sometime after I've finished re-playing all the Wing Commander games and both of the Crusader games, I might see if I can get 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rites to run on DosBox.

that shouldn't be too hard. Dosbox is a really efficient piece of software.
those games were really very good. lots of attention to the detail, and they captured the feel of the original series quite remarkably well.
