speech card doesnt work

Help I need somebody!!!!
its no problem 4 me 2 config the music card with a sb pro
but when i select sb pro or any other card 4 speech card
privateer won't load but tell me that my sound config is wrong and that i have to install the right card. ???????

first tell us exactly what sound card you have, and what is the error tht the game gives you.
 
Are you sure your soundcard is SB Pro compatible?
SB16/AWE32/AWE64/LIVE! are all _NOT_ SB Pro compatible for example AFAIK. Try to pick SB or SB16 instead of Pro.
 
I don't get any sound from speech card no matter what I try to configure different...

I just get static when I configure to A240 I7

anyway, is there anybody out there, who has speech card sound with SB Live!????????????
 
Then in the install process you'll need to declare a base IO of 240 and a DMA of 7. No other ideas if you already do that.
