Specs needed for WC1&2

I have the original versions of WC1&2 installed on my PC. Although they run reasonably well they do have speed and sound problems. I can get hold of some old PCs from my school for a few pounds each so I though it might be worthwhile to buy a PC made around the time of the early WC games. What spec would you recommend for playing WC1&2? I have the choice of anything between a 386 and a P166.
 
I would recommend nothing worse than the best 386 in your school, but nothing better than a 486 DX2 66.
 
I concurr, if u go too fast, u'll never beable to play WC1.
ever try to fly through an astroid field at 1020mhZ + 120kps?
it's not easy, landing is just alittle harded though.:D
