Great watch and pretty interesting what Chris had to say about the reason why Hobbes betrayed the Confederation in WCIII.

It was tons of fun, but we were sure tired by the end! I'm actually shocked how fast the second half seemed to go given it took a lot to get over the Jotunheim hump in the middle.

Sadly, I had to go to bed after the last Jotunheim mission (on or about ;) ).

Now posted to YouTube and open for YouTube tro... um, I mean, comments.

Once again I have to catch up on the s stream after the fact. I managed to watch most of the CR interview part live but the rest I'm digesting in smaller chuncks at the end of the day.

I'm still happy I didn't totally embarrass myself the first time I started flying. Everyone gets used to their particular joystick, interface or whatever, but I've been playing on shallow laptop keyboards most recently, so I wasn't sure how using the keyboard at CIG would be. Turned out it wasn't too bad until I got in the Scimitar!

Keyboard warrior ftw :)

Really enjoying this. On hour 7 of 9 and planning to finish it off tonight. Thanks again for doing this. Also, Toast! You kick ass at this man! I really enjoyed the short time where it was Ben as pilot, Chris as copilot, and toast in the backseat. I love Lando but he needs to brush up on his WC knowledge before Secret Missions 2. Ben, how come you never roll? Lol

Toast, were you playing with just a keyboard??

oh, no no. That was Chris Reid. I was using the stick. Keyboard inputs were less jammy back in the day, or at least that's how I remember, so it's a little harder playing pure KB than in the past.

That's also why Ben and I didn't roll much - the control maps for the DosBox that gog's WC1 runs off doesn't map twist, so rolling had to be done with keyboard.

Wait, Chris doesnt use a joystick? That's crazy! Lol
Toast, I did notice u rolled a lot more than Ben did. : )
On the final mission finally and its crazy to say I'm sad its almost over. U guys are great! Can't wait for the SM2 in April.

It was a surprising amount of fun calling out the bad guys, warning LOAF when his armor was gone and shields down, looking ahead at CIC Teal to recommend whether to save missiles for upcoming nav points, etc.

Yeah, I actually originally played through WC1 with a SNES gamepad (WC2 was my first PC WC game). I never really had a great joystick setup that I really enjoyed. And while they have made some fantastic sticks over the years, to me the keyboard feels really natural. In-universe it's a legitimate interface method - check out some of the Privateer ships with keyboards in the cockpit. I also played through Privateer 2 with the mouse! (no KB flight controls)

Well you are an odd one Chris my friend lol. But ur not kidding that you are comfortable with the keyboard cuz you were kickin some ass too.
