Searching messages in this forum?

Hello again everyone,

I LOVE this forum! Back a couple of months ago, you guys in here helped me get Privateer 1 to run again. Thanks!

Anyway, just a quick question. . .
Is there anyway to "search" for keywords in this forum? ie. I want to look for "WC1 Sounds" or "WC2 Sounds" without having to read through all the multi-hundreds of posts. Thanks!

Helpful, but mostly in the sense that I could have told you to look for the answer instead of having to repeat myself. <G>

The search was disabled to limit disk usage and server load. They don't weigh up against the benefits. People always ask the same questions over and over anyway.
 
I think people ask the same questions over and over because they can't search if someone asked thier question previously, and they don't want to read through 500 threads to try and find something that relates to their question. Of course I think it REALLY sucks when people don't post a subject that even relates to the thread. . .'cuz then you may NEVER find the answer to your problem! ;) You know what I am talking about. . .those people whose post subjects are "I have a question. . ." or "WC1?" What kinda subjects are those? They could be asking about ANYTHING! Oh well. . .

Anyway, thanks for even having a forum like this, for all us wannabe space pilots! :cool:

I speak from experience. The board has been up since January 2000 and the search was only disabled two weeks ago.
