Screen Flashing In Wing Commander IV In Windows XP

The screen occassionally flashes during movies and flight. During flight it appears to be the nav map that is flashing, but I could be mistaken. I'm running the game in Windows XP SP2 with the Win95 patch. Any ideas?

There also is a Windows 2000 Patch. When I played WC IV on WinXP, I first installed the game, then applied the Win95 patch, then used the Win2k Patch. Game runs fine. You should find it in the files section of the wcnews.com homepage. If you did not install this one in addition to the Win95 patch, this might help.

EDIT: The Win2k Patch is an UPDATE to the Win95 patch, and due to this is offered for download as a Win2k Fix to the Win95 patch. I suggest this might make it easier to find the right file to download.
