I'm trying to get an old Pentium 90 system up and running for old DOS games. For a soundcard, i'm using a SB16 Vibra PNP card. It's taken me quite a while to finally find a driver/program that will make the card work (All I ended up needing was the ctcm.exe program from SB's website)
Well anyways, here's the problem. The sound works fine and so does the midi, but I am getting no response from my gameport. I know the Joystick works in DOS because i've tested it on another sound card. And I know the gameport on the card works because i've tested it in Win98. I don't know how to get the darn thing to register...if anyone knows, please help.
Driverwise, all I run is ctcm.exe either manually or from autoexec.bat. When I run it, it says 1of2 Creative PNP Devices Installed: VibraPNP, then it gives me the BLASTER env vars for it (ie, A220, I10, etc). Maybe the 2nd of the 2 Creative PNP Devices is the gameport? I don't know...when I run ctcm.exe in Win98 it reports 2of2 Creative PNP Devices Installed but doens't give me any additional information like when I run it from DOS.
