Running WC 2 Kilrathi Saga problems

I recently Go Kilrathi Saga and installed in on my older computer with windows 98, I had way to many problems with my vista labtop. Wing Commander one works perfectly, but when I play wing commander 2 the Gameplay is slowed down. Anyway I can fix this?
 
How slow is it? Is it unplayable? Is it possibly running how it should be? Have you tried different compatibility modes? If you turned off hardware acceleration or other features to get WCP/Secret Ops going, make sure you turn it back up for Kilrathi Saga.
