Redundant Question from a newbie!

I bet everyone has already asked this.....
I want to run WC on my computer but it runs at a million miles an hour in DOS mode. Thus I was wondering if there is a program to slow my computer down (600MHz) to a 286 speed and where I would find such a program?

Thanx
:)

Is this WC1? If so, good luck slowing it down significantly at all. There is a program called moslo, which can slow down your computer, but most people can't get it to work successfully with WC1. I tried it myself, but even at the slowest setting, the game was still too fast. Still, someone else more knowledgeable than me (i.e. everyone else on this site, pretty much) may be able to help you. You could try moslo, though, and I think you can get it on this site somewhere.

I have the same problem. I've got a PII 450 and the game runs stupidly fast. Mo'slo reports that it's working but seems to slow the game down selectivley - interactive sections go at half normal speed and combat is still much too fast.

I know that there was a WC I-IV bumber pack released a few years ago that had these problems resolved - i.e. they changed the speed limiter codes, but I don't know where to get hold of this. Any suggestions?

Ah, the Kilrathi Saga... still the best software purchase I ever made. The digital music alone makes it worthwhile.

Probably the only place you can expect to find it these days is ebay, for lots and lots of cash.

Waaaay too much cash. Sometimes I think a $150 price tag is reasonable, but then I remember that the low Aussie dollar makes that $AU300. :(
