Hi

Currently I am using the my jemm patch to run privateer in win 98 but I'm having a few troubles

1) The sounds a bit flaky and I can’t get the music to play

2) I can’t get the subtitles to display when the speech is active

3) The game runs quite slow even though I got a top end computer with p4 2.2 GHz 512 DD Ram

Is there anything I can do ???

Are there are any patches to clean up the graphics a bit I know privateer is an old game but I was wondering if there was a way to give it a face lift so the graphics look more like they do in privateer 2

3) Does anyone know where I can find a copy of privateer 2 preferably for free ?? (mabe one of you good people here have an iso file or a zip file of the game that i can download ??)

See I once had a copy of privateer 2 but took it back to the shop (wish i hadnt done that now DO'H !!!) coz it ran way to fast on my comp and at the time I couldn't find a way to slow it down though for thoughs of you that are having the speed trouble with privateer 2 try looking here

Coz there is a patch to slow things down there is also a patch to convert the dos version of privateer 2 to the win 95 version

There is a lil app at the top of the page that will slowdown dos games that run to fast

There are also a lot of patches and help files there to which might answer a lot of peoples questions about various error message they get when trying to get privateer or wing commander working

Try changing your sound card configuration in the setup.

2) I can’t get the subtitles to display when the speech is active
That´s right. To see the subtitles you need to disable the speech (Sound FX)

There are two ways to get it free. 1- Finding someone who will voluntarily give you his copy. 2 - Illegally.

I don´t think you´ll be able to pull that out here.

Hi

Ok well after much searching I found a copy of privateer 2 at ~~~~~~~~~ however its an incomplete copy and is way to fast and the speed patch I posted for it don't work coz its the dos edition and the patch is for the deluxe edition how ever I cant get it to upgrade to the deluxe edition coz it just keep asking for the cd GRRRRRR

Help !!

Anyone here got a copy of privateer 2 deluxe and if so would they be willing to make an iso or zip of the game that I could download ???
