Prophecy Video Skip on Newer XP Computer

I know this one was covered to death in a previous thread, but none of the solutions seemed to work, so I thought I'd list what I've got here.

I'm having the standard problem of video skipping on Prophecy. The game itself was working fine, but the videos are almost indecipherable due to skip issues.

I'm running XP SP2 through my iMac via Boot Camp (Windows is native). The video driver is an ATI Raedeon 1600. I have the sound acceleration turned completely off, the video acceleration isn't making any difference. It also doesn't matter if I'm running video through software or the card on the Prophecy Launcher. Windows 95 Compatibility is on.

I tried running the video skip fix downloaded from this site and it crashes. Said I need to reinstall, the OpenGL will not load.

Would anyone have any ideas? Anyone else running this through Boot Camp? Will I fix the problem if I load the hi-res patches?

The high res patch (enhancement pack) includes a newer version of the video skip patch, so definitely try that first. If it still doesn't work, then there's some kind of new bug that probably has to do with running this on a mac.
