Prophecy probs

I have a AMD 1 gig CPU and when i wanna run Wing Commander Prophecy the intro and ingame Movies are going way 2 fast like my cdrom is 2 fast for it or something else is the prob , i tried a slow down program 2 slow down my cpu but that did not work so what can i do to let the game run smoothly , maybe there is a program 2 slowdown my cdrom speed.


Plss help
