Prophecy on Win2k Help

Not there

I already looked there , the link points to a directory that no long exsist on Blacklance's server . Thanx anyway ; which means I'm back to using Win98Se (eck !) .

'ang on a sec, mate, stuff hosted by BL.org for the CIC seems to be down at the moment. Try again in a week or so. And what's so bad about Win98?

Win98Se ?

I run several applications that I need to know that are safe from prying eyeballs and on top of everything else it handles more than 256mb of memory alot better than Win98 . I had upgraded to 512mb memory and win98 slowed to a crawl , reformat and installed Win2k , viola ! Top speed once again and it is also more tolerant of misbehaving of ill behaved applications . Thats saying alot since I prefer Linux myself but no one has port any of the WC games to it and they don't run so well under vmware or wine .

Fair enough. I suppose most people are lucky enough to have so much technology at their disposal.

But how does Win2000 save your stuff from "prying eyes"?

Re Win2k security

Win2K is considered a C3 secure operating system by the US government , just hitting the escape key at the login prompt when it boots up will not get you in the operating system , it can pretty much foil the average home computer user , and it would take me a while to bypass its security features . Thats one of the reasons I refuse to sell it to the average home user . If you for get your administrator password your just SOL .

Really? Since when did Microsoft start making 'secure' software? :)

Just kidding, their software just seems sometimes insecure 'cause its so popular and thus a perfect target for crackers.

Secure

Lol , I know what you mean by a 'secure' Windoze , by the way I contacted the author who wrote the patch and he is suppose to forward it to me so if anyone else needs it I'll probably post it on one of my websites .
