Prophecy Issue

Hey All. I'm running Prophecy on my 2 XP machines and it runs absolutely perfectly except for one thing. At one mission (I think it's the Ion Cannon test) right when I'm launching it immediately goes to the screen where it says "Your Carrier Was Lost". It happens on both machines and on my friend's 98SE computer (not an XP problem this time around) every time. It's probably something wrong with the disc (third) even thought there are no scratches or anything. Do you think making a copy of the disc could fix it?
 
Nothing's wrong with the disc. It's a common bug, playing Simulator mission 6 or 7 fixes the problem. You don't need to finish the sim mission, just go in and play it for a minute.

So izzat a bug "common" with XP specifically, or what?
 
Hey thanks. This my thread....I guess I wasn't logged in. But yeah thanks because I had borrowed it fro my friend about the time it came out and I had no problems so I recently bought it and was kind of annoyed about it.
 
It has something to do with critical damage to the Midway being carried over from a previous mission or something. Playing one of the simulator missions that TC mentioned resets this, I believe.
