problems with wc3

whenever i push a button on the keyboard, i get that beeping noise from the computer. if i hold it down for more than a second, the game freezes up then starts up after i have stopped pushing the button.

this is a real problem, since i use the keyboard for flight control. so, could someone tell me how to "uninstall" the game so that i may change the controls or tell me how to make the beeping stop.
 
The controls cannot be changed, but do you use pure DOS, DOS-emulator or the win-version and on what system
 
yes, they can be changed. i figured out how to in the readme. type WC3 -I.

im running the dos version, on a pentium two two hundred megahertz with thirty two megs of ram.
 
I thought you meant changing the key config.
The Ingame-options are available with ALT+O, try changing between keyboard, mouse and, if you have one, joystick.
Are you playing in a DOS-window or "true" DOS?
