Problems With Secret Ops!

First of all, whenever I install the base game, it doesn't create a desktop icon, nor a Start entry. Even though I tell it to do the former thing. I believe it might not be installing everything it should be.

Second of all, I tried installing the Hi-Res patch thing, but whenever I try playing in 32 bit directx, I get a error window and it quits, anyone have this problem? The game works fine in 16 bit, but I want the 32!

Can anyone help me?

Can you run the game? You can make your own desktop icon. If it runs, don't worry about the installer.

Have you tried the tips suggested in the othre threads with people who have problems with the high res/32 bit patches? What mode are you running in and what sort of hardware are you running it on?

I fixed the first problem by setting the install base with 95 compatbility, not just starting the game, but installing on 95 compatibility too.

Second problem, I can't fix. I heard somebody say it's because I have a Radeon card, which I do, actually.

32-bit really pretty much only works on GeForce cards. Not that the difference is visible anyhow.
