Problems installing Secret Ops on Windows XP

I'm new to the CIC and this is my first posting.
My brother and I were installing Prophecy Gold on
my system and didn't encounter any problems until
we came to Secret Ops. It just didn't want to go.
The program couldn't find some hardware files that
by now must be in a museum. We upgraded to Windows XP recently and I'm using a Sound Blaster Live sound card. Your thoughts.

I've heard there are some compatibility issues with Liveware 3 and DirectX 8. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an issue between WCP and DX8 as well.

I just install WCP Gold on my XP system. Just ignore those errors messages. That Glide.dll is for a voodoo card; you don't have one. Your only going to have two choose for the video card DirectX or Software. When it prompt for the A: drive I hit the cancel button and it finish installing. I had to copy the SecretOps.exe as a Shortcut to the desktop and right click on it to setup compartiblity mode for Win98 to get it to work. I was able to play this game in both DirectX or Software mode. It was easy to get going.

There also a Win2000 patch
