Problem with USB stick in Priv (DOSBOX)

I followed the instructions in the section of tech support of wcnews.com
It works flawlessly, the exception is the joystick, it isn't recognized by the game.
I have a Saitek ST90.

Do i have to add some line to dosbox?

Is it recognized by DOSBox? Do you see it mentioned in the background status window? Is it set up properly in Windows? Did you enable Joystick control in the game's options menu?

It isn't checked in DOSBOX.

It seems that the problem is only with PRiv.

WC1 and 2 works fine.

Good to know, I've talked with the DOSBox guy a bit and it seems to be an issue with the combination of certain Saitek sticks and Privateer in DOSBox. With cycles=8000 and joysticktype=2axis set in DOSBox.conf, they were able to get their Saitek finally working in Priv though. buttonwrap=false could help too, but maybe not in this case.
