Privateer & Windows 98

I have tied to run Privater CD in MS DOS mode but when I startup Privater nothing happens, my system just hangs.

I have:
AMD K6-2 400mhz
256 MB of RAM
Voodoo 3000 PCI
SB Live 5.1
Windows 98 SE
Sony CDRW Drive

Mmkay.. if the game just hangs.. I'd suggest that it might be some sort of conflict. Perhaps you could rem out certain lines until the game boots.. Then you know what needs to be tweaked in order to run. Additionally, you may yet need more conventional memory. Copying the Priv CD to the hard drive and installing from there will allow you to unload the CD drivers/extensions in both the config and autoexec to free up more memory (or even remove the conflict).

Try to set the sound and the music to none and try if the game still crashes.
