privateer tractor beam

hi guys, if this is in the wrong forum, i am sorry. bump this around if need be.
at any rate i have privateer working just fine...only i can't make the tractor beam do any beaming. i supposedly have one in a turret, but it is not on my weapons selection list. i get close, i get far....nadda. any help?

If you installed it in your turret, then you'll need to switch to your turret to activate it. Lock onto the object and press enter.
