as the title goes can anyone tell me if privateer works on xp ive got the rest but this is the one i just can't work out:confused:

Firstly, off to tech support!

Secondly, no. Privateer will not run in XP. It will only run in a pure DOS environment. (For Darkmage's benifit I'll mention that a virtual machine is indeed a pure DOS environment.)

Um, not so fast:
... I just ran across an article in PC Magazine (9/02) that gave a buncha tips for being able to get DOS & even older Windows programs to work under XP. It's under their "tips" or Q&A column (whatever they call it). Look it up. One of the tips had to do with a program on the XP CD you can install that worx 2 make older programs compatible.

I'd try it myself, but...

(...me no got Win XP, and prolly won't until I can find a way to strip off the stupid/invasive "registration" code from it)

Um,not so fast
...until someone makes Priv working in any Win9x-Xp, it only runs in pure DOS, no matter what your magazine said.
