Looking over the various posts in this forum and others I found alot of solutions to memory and boot disk type problems but none to the problem I have. I have successfully created a boot disk that would allow me to run the game theoretically; I have in the upper 630's conventional memory and I have sound disabled so it should work. However, when I run priv.exe it reads for about 3 seconds and then the screen turns black and remains so... I am running an IBM Thinkpad 570 (laptop) that is 333MHZ and 64MB RAM. I am somewhat sure I can get sound to work, but my problem is just getting into the game. I use minimal settings on my config.sys and autoexec.bat. If anyone has an idea what it might be, any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are my config and autoexec
Config.sys
Device=C:\WINDOWS\Himem.Sys
Device=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.Exe 16384 ram
dos=high,umb
files=25
buffers=25
Autoexe.bat
@echo off
path=c:\windows;c:\windows\command
prompt $p$g
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
