Privateer I

You must have a bootdisk from an earlier OS (W95 W98),chek the threads in this section on how to configure the autoexec.bat and config.sys

Ghost is right. ME does not support dos easily. You will need a win95/98 boot disk. We can't help you modify it to work with P1. You need to know what sound card you have. Where the DOS drivers are for your Sound card, CD-ROM, and mouse are located. You can also get univerial dos drivers for your CD-ROM and mouse at http://www.bootdisk.com. You must know what sound card you have for us to help you.

Eheh, SW, just about every sound card out there has its own drivers - unless we know what drivers to use, we can't exactly help set it up in DOS, now can we? Posting his autoexec.bat etc.... well, that's certainly the first step, but sound card type may still be important.

Post the contents of your config.sys, autoexec.bat, and dosstart.bat (found in C:\Windows) files here and I'll try to build new ones for you.
