Privateer and DOSbox .61

I was at a lanparty this past weekend, when I saw something I had thought I never see. It was good old Privateer. Then I noticed something I had never seen before; the game was running in windowed mode on a windows desktop. I asked the kid what the deal was, and he told me DOSbox .61 was the answer.
I tried it out when I got home. I read up on how to do it, first a bit. I set EMS=False, so that privateer could use JEMM to handle the EMS on its own. I got the PRIV.exe to run, but it crashes before it gets anywhere. This is what i get:
'Memory: Original Current Used
'NEAR 29518 28988 530
'FAR 376524 341180 35344
'HIGH 3521872 3495840 26032

Fatal error.

Error Code: D002-FFFF
Program halted by code.

That is the crash I get in the DOSBox window. I have heard that privateer runs pretty flawlessly in windows XP under DOSBox. I have not had a chance to try it in WinXP, just in Windows 2000. If anyone has anyfeedback on their DOSBox / Privateer experience, it would be much appriciated. Also, i dont know if it matters, but i have a p4 mobile 1.7 ghz (NOT centrino, just p4). Good luck to everyone who wants this to work.

I have no idea about DOSBOX, but in DOS you need EMM386 loaded (as it also provides VCPI memory). So I assume it is the same for DOSBOX.

It works now.

I Finally got everything to work. In priv.cfg, I had not set it to the right path. Once i fixed that it works; if anyone needs hlep with this just lemme know.
It is a very sluggish on my laptop running at 3500 cycles. My laptop is a p4m 1.7ghz with 384 megs of ram. I will try it on my desktop today, I should be able to get around 10,000 cycles on there which should make it pretty smooth.
