Hi, I'm running the Win95 version of Privateer 2, with the slowdown patch. I'm not getting any of the in-flight midi music. Anyone else encounter this problem. Any solutions out there? Thanks.

That's odd... Well, just to be sure, go over your volume-settings (sndvol-whatever.exe) and see to it that MIDI-volume is at max (or what you prefer). Then... Hm... Well, considering P2's age, I'll be damned if anything ships today with drivers that aren't capable of playing P2Win's MIDIs. Dxdiag, meh... H-hey, there's a thought! *Activate tractorbeam* If you've been playing WCP, did you perhaps deactivate/reduce hardware-acceleration for sound? Look it up.

By the way, it would probably help if you told us at least what OS and soundcard you're using. :D

Theres meant to be inflight music? Damn.

I've looked around to see why it might not be working, but can't check anything because I'm at work. I would guess you have a SBlive/AC97 on-board sound, since they are the most popular?

Try going into control panel > sounds and multimedia > audio > and changing the MIDI device around. It would be useful if someone with an SBlive/AC97 who has music working could post their setting.

This isn't guaranteed or anything, but its the only thing I can see that would be that different since the win95 version should be making calls directly to windows for the MIDI (I think).
